Ready to BlueIndy? Follow the guide!
Simple, modern and efficient: That’s BlueIndy in a nutshell. The city has reinvented itself by providing access to electric vehicles that you can pick up near home and drop off near your destination. Come re-experience cars; this time without the drawbacks. Change the way you see transportation in just three steps:
- Drive and return
1. Subscribe to BlueIndy
There are several simple options for subscribing to the service: You can either visit a BlueIndy station equipped with an enrollment kiosk or go to our website.
All that is required is a valid driver’s license and credit card.
After you choose your package and confirm the transaction, you will receive a personal membership card for accessing the BlueIndy service. Representatives are available at our BlueIndy stations or at the call center to help.
TO SUBSCRIBE, VISIT A BLUEINDY STATION OR OUR WEBSITE.
2. Pick up your car
Once you have your membership card, it’s time to get behind the wheel of a Bluecar. Go to any reservation kiosk you want and hold your card over the reader to unlock the car.
The color of the LED will indicate whether you have successfully unlocked the car (green) or not (red). Now just unplug the power cable, let it retract into the charge Point and close the cover.
BlueIndy gets you on the road in seconds.
You can also reserve a car in advance.

3. Drive and return your car
Turn on the engine and then check the range and status of your Bluecar. If you notice a problem before driving away, inform the call center by pushing the blue button in the car or from the reservation kiosk.
The BlueIndy service is a one-way car sharing model, so you can return your car to any station. Once you’ve parked the car in your chosen parking spot(which you can reserve in advance), simply hold your membership card over the charge point, pull out the cable, and carefully follow the instructions to plug in your Bluecar.
The trip ends when you have properly plugged in the car and the charging door is tightly closed. To lock the car doors and prevent another driver from starting it, hold your card over the windshield reader. If necessary, you can still reopen the doors to remove your belongings.
YOU CAN RETURN YOUR CAR TO ANY STATION.
